This is a nicely packaged Universal Variable Power Supply that takes in a DC signal between 7 and 16 V and outputs a 5 to 14 V DC voltage that is regulated so it won't drop below the voltage you need. This Universal Variable Power Supply makes use of the 7805 Voltage Regulator which can be purchased separately to give you a set 5V (not variable).
