This HB100 Microwave Motion Sensor is an X-Band Bi-Static Doppler transceiver module. It has a built-in Dielectric Resonator Oscillator (DRO) and a pair of microstrip patch antenna arrays, making it ideal for usage in motion detection equipment.

This Microwave Motion Sensor is ideal for alarms, motion detectors, lighting control, vehicle speed measurement and automatic doors.

Features:

  • Low current consumption (typical 30 mA)
  • CW or pulse operation
  • Long detection range (20 m)
  • Supply voltage: between 4.75V and 5.25V
  • X-Band frequency: 10.525 GHz
  • Minimum Power Output: 13 dBm EIRP
  • Can be calibrated to detect motion through glass / acrylic / thin walls
  • Detection Angle: approx 180 degrees
  • Frequency depends on the speed of movement
  • Output has a DC offset
  • Coupling capacitor required before the amplifier

 

Note: Use caution when soldering and connect the device to a reliable ground wire as this device is sensitive to static. The IF pin is especially sensitive and can be checked for damage using a multimeter in diode mode. The forward voltage drop between IF and GND should be about 0.25 V.
